Gleaming Gives
Cleaning homes. Clearing clutter. Creating good.
Giving back is built into how the company works. Through the Gleaming Gives Initiative, we donate time, dollars and useful items to local causes across the Raleigh area — turning clean homes and cleared-out closets into practical support for people who can use it.

Why a cleaning company?
Because cleaning happens at turning points. People call when they are moving, downsizing, organizing, recovering, preparing, or trying to get life back under control.
Those are the exact moments when useful things can be rescued from a landfill and redirected toward a person, a program, or a local cause that can use them. Many families want to donate and never get to it — bags sit by the door, closets stay full, the furniture gets put off. We are already in the room.
How it works
- 01
You declutter
Identify clothing, furniture or household goods you no longer need.
- 02
We help redirect
With your permission, we sort, transport, donate or responsibly resell what is usable.
- 03
Good moves forward
Items, service and funds support local organizations, families and community needs.
Where it goes
Local causes, named.
Donations and outreach support local organizations, drop-off centers, food programs, shelters and families across the Raleigh area — including Shepherd’s Table and other programs that help people directly.
- Clothing access
- Professional clothing, children’s clothing, coats, shoes and everyday essentials.
- Survivor support
- Items and support for programs serving trafficking survivors and vulnerable neighbors.
- Food & outreach
- Support for meal programs, community outreach and local service efforts, including Shepherd’s Table.
- Home goods
- Furniture and household items redirected to people and causes that can use them.
Donation acceptance depends on item condition, transportation capacity, current community needs and recipient guidelines. We cannot guarantee that every item can be accepted or placed.
What comes next
Where the initiative is going.
These are goals rather than things already in place — stated plainly so you can hold us to them.
Paid volunteer time
So employees never have to choose between serving a local cause and earning income.
Health & healing cleanings
Free or discounted cleanings for neighbors facing cancer, illness, recovery, grief or crisis.
Employee-chosen causes
The team identifies the organizations, families and needs that matter to them.
Donate, nominate, or get involved
Tell us before your cleaning if you have gently used clothing, furniture or household items to redirect. You can also nominate a local cause, suggest a volunteer opportunity, or flag a community need.
Requests
Book with a firm that gives it forward.
Every appointment supports the initiative — and the closets you clear out can go somewhere useful on the way.
